Kenner's Universe

Five years ago is when this all began. Brian and I were married on May 3, 2003 in the Denver LDS Temple. We have lived in Colorado, Idaho, and we are currently in Utah. Brian enjoys his job as Dr. Death (Funeral Director) and I enjoy being a full time mom. Our first born son, Kenner, is 2 1/2 and Kameron just joined our family on February 21, 2008. Our love for each other, our children, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ make us keep going every day.

Boy or Girl?

Kenner came to the ultrasound with Mommy and Daddy. At the time we hadn't made up our minds if we were going to find out or not as to what we were going to have. When I was there in the moment and the technician asked if we wanted to find out I got suckered in and basically Brian lost the battle. We found out that we're having another boy. Kenner made phone calls later that night telling family that he's going to have a baby brother.

Carving Pumpkins

We purchased three pumpkins this year. One for daddy, one for mommy, and one for Kenner. About a week before Halloween daddy was on his way out the door for work when he noticed someone had stolen our two big pumpkins and left the Kenner's little one. We ended up buying another big one to replace the other two, but waited until it was closer to Halloween. Kenner really enjoyed carving the pumpkin this year. He wanted to help out as much as he could. He did a good job.

Sumo Nemo Championship

When Kenner's cousin, Connor, came out for Kenner's 2nd birthday we had Kenner try on his Halloween costume to show Connor. We have no idea how it all came about, but when Kenner had on the costume Connor would plow him over. Kenner thought it was the best game he'd ever played. As soon as he would get knocked down he was right back on his feet again waiting for the next hit. I've come to conclusion that the reasoning for this is that they're boys.

Kenner's 2nd Birthday

Kenner waited for his second birthday for a long time. Ever since he saw Aunt Tanya blow out her birthday candles when we visited in September he could not stop talking about birthdays. As soon as I told him he was having a birthday on October 7, he made sure everyone knew his birthday was coming.

As you could imagine the kid got presents galore. Oddly, the one gift he could not put down was his helmet that goes with his roller skates. He insisted on wearing it the entire evening.

Big News

Kenner is going to be a big brother! For the Fourth of July we did a family trip to Denver and we thought it would be appropriate to spread the news in person. We, Brian and I, didn't want to do it. We thought it would be perfect to let the soon to be big brother spread the news we just needed to figure out how. We had a T-shirt made for Kenner that said "I'm going to be a big brother." We weren't going to say anything. We decided to let the shirt work its magic. When we arrived to Grandma and Grandpa's house we knew they would go straight for Kenner (Kenner was wearing the shirt) and thought they would see the shirt and catch on. OH NO! That did not happen. About a half an hour after being there Brian ended up picking Kenner up and telling them to read the shirt. Soon after the room filled with joy.
