Kenner's Universe

Five years ago is when this all began. Brian and I were married on May 3, 2003 in the Denver LDS Temple. We have lived in Colorado, Idaho, and we are currently in Utah. Brian enjoys his job as Dr. Death (Funeral Director) and I enjoy being a full time mom. Our first born son, Kenner, is 2 1/2 and Kameron just joined our family on February 21, 2008. Our love for each other, our children, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ make us keep going every day.

Pony Express Parade

Starting May 31, Eagle Mountain has had a series of events. We've had a carnival, concerts, firework shows, and much more. Saturday, June 1, there was a parade. We thought it would be fun to take Kenner to his first parade. We didn't know how well he was going to sit still and watch, especially in the heat. Well, to our surprise he did very well. He really enjoyed the parade. His favorite seemed to be the horses and the search and rescue dogs. He got a bunch of candy, a football, sunglasses, and papers and magnets that he doesn't care about. He really liked everything except for the gun fight. Four cowboys stopped in front of us to have a gun shoot out. The good guys were saying stuff to the bad guys and visa versa. It all came down to the shoot out. After lots of popping noises from the guns, the yelling, and the two bad guys laying down in front of us (being dead), Kenner began to scream and cry. It was actually quite cute. Others around us were laughing as well as Mommy and Daddy. We tried to explain to Kenner that the cowboy was not really dead. After realizing that Kenner had been scared by the act, the dead cowboy in front of us quickly stood up and came over to give Kenner a sucker. Amazingly enough, the tears stopped right away and we were back to enjoying the rest of the parade.

The best part of the parade that just seemed to sum everything up was, of course, Cosmo.
